NEWS UPDATE

July 22, 2008 ... Two AAU Tournament Champs have been announced to join the list of participants that was kicked off by the NABF, the National Baseball Federation,  on the 18th. The two AAU teams will be  Chet Lemon's Juice, the 10U champions from the Florida District, and the 12U AAU champions the Germantown Giants from Germantown, Tennessee. The AAU teams have increased the total to 4 teams that have been announced as representatives to play in the NYBC. Earlier, NABF announced the two teams that will be their representatives in the  First NYBC championships. The  10U Southern Jaquars of Atlanta Georgia, and the 12U East Cobb Astros of Marietta Georgia. These were the first teams officially announced to represent the NABF league in the Upcoming National Youth Baseball Championships in Memphis, Tennessee. 

The following chart represents the pairings for the 2008 NYBC  pool play competition, and when  the team that will represent each of the league's will be announced.

The four-day tournament will be played just outside of Memphis, Tennessee at the new Gameday Baseball's First Tennessee Fields. The tournament will be on August 21 through the 24th, and will crown the first ever National Champions. This first year there will only be tournaments in the 10 U and 12 U divisions. In the future, plans call for this tournament to crown a national champion in as many as 8 different age groups. This tournament will include all the major youth baseball programs and will be the final step in baseball tournaments across the nation involving more than 100,000 baseball teams.  
The " National Youth Baseball Championships" will be the initial effort of the "Major Youth Baseball Alliance, LLC". The MYBA is a newly formed company comprised of the eight major youth baseball programs, including AABC (American Amateur Baseball Congress), AAU ( Amatuer Athletic Union of the United States), Babe Ruth Baseball, Dixie Youth Baseball, NABF (Natinoal Amateur Baseball Federation), PONY Baseball, Super Series Baseball of America, USSSA (United States Specialty Sports Association).
